Henry Fisher 1845-1931
Henry Fisher, well known retired farmer, of Mexico, died at his home
this morning at 2 o'clock, following a two weeks' illness caused by a
stroke of paralysis.
The deceased was 85 years, 8 months, and ten days old at the time of
his death. He was born in Miami county, near Mexico, May 11, 1845, the
son of George and Barbara (Moss) Fisher. On October 20, 1867, he was
united in marriage to Mary Simons, who, with the one child that was born
to the union, preceded him in death. A granddaughter, Mrs. Robert
Donaldson, of Detroit, survives. On January 16, 1878, he was married to
Isabelle Ault, who survives. ("Who survives" was crossed out.) Two sons,
Ira Fisher, of Mexico, and Tony Fisher, of Denver, a daughter, Bertha
Fisher, of Mexico, also survive.
The deceased spent his entire lifetime in the Mexico community with
the exception of two years, during which he lived in Fulton county. He
was a deacon in the Church of the Brethren at Mexico for several years.
The body was removed to the Robert Kline mortuary at Denver. (That
whole line was crossed out.) Funeral services will be held Friday
afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the Mexico Church of the Brethren, with
Rev. Frank Fisher officiating. Interment will be made in Greenlawn
cemetery.

Fisher, Henry, second son of George and Barbara (Moss) Fisher, died Jan.
21, 1931, aged 85 years, 8 months, and 10 days. Oct. 20, 1867, he
married Mary E. Simmons who died May 20, 1870. His second wife was
Martha Biddle who passed away Nov. 3, 1873. He married Isabelle Ault who
preceded him Feb. 24, 1922. To this union were born two sons and one
daughter. Six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren survive. Dec.
15, 1894, he united with the Church of the Brethren. Three years later
he was called to the deacon's office. In his life's work the interest of
the church always stood high; he made many a sacrifice for the good of
the church. Funeral by Eld. Frank Fisher in the church. Burial in the

Obit 3 for Henry Fisher
Henry Fisher, second son of George and Barbara (Moss) Fisher, was
born 1 1/2 miles North of Mexico, Miami County, Indiana, on May 11th,
1845.
When a young man he settled in Fulton County, and with energy and
perseverence cleared a home out of the primeval forest. A few years
later he removed to the old home-stead 2 1/2 miles west of Mexico, where
he again builded a home and lived continuously for 45 years, when he
retired from active labor and moved to Mexico, where he resided until
the death Angel summoned him in the early morning of January 21st, 1931
at the age of 85 years 8 months and 10 days.
October 20, 1867 he was married to Mary E Simons, who was called by
death on May 20, 1870, leaving one daughter, Cora Emma, who became the
wife of Josiah Maus, she was called by death in 1899, leaving one
daughter, Mable, now the wife of Robert Donaldson of Detroit Michigan.
On April 3, 1873 he was married to Martha Biddle who passed away on
Nov. 3 of the same year.
January 16, 1878 he was united in marriage to Isabell Ault, who was a
true help mate for forty four years, having passed away Feb. 24, 1922.
To this union was born three children, Ira, Bertha and Tony all of near
Mexico, who with six grand-children and six great grand-children
survive.
On December 15, 1894 he accepted Christ and united with the Church of
the Brethren, three years later 1897 he was called to the Deacon's
office and in his lifes work the interest of his church always stood
high.
He was a kind man to all with whom he come in contact, ever ready to
do his part in times of need and was held in high esteem in the
community in which he lived.
