St. George's Episcopal Church, 319 Front St., Hempstead, NY 11550. In April 1734 John Mott and Thomas Gildersleeve, by order of the town, set apart half an acre for a new church, west of the old one. The page lists the names of petitioners for the charter of St. George's church, Hempstead, Long Island, N.Y. in June 1735. A list of names found in the baptism records of St. George's church in 1760 appears only as a scanned image and is not transcribed.
