Researcher's notes

I did a bit of reasearch to see if i could find this person. This is what I found.

1870 > MAINE > HANCOCK > TRENTON

SurnameGiven NameAgeSexRaceBirthplaceStateCountyLocationYear

(ME=Maine)

several MURCH families on this page - including JOhn C. Murch, master mariner age 62 and wife Jane H, age 50 both born Maine

I suspect the following are his kids:

  • Hattie G 23 (m David Marshall) living with John and Jane in 1870, also kids
  • Hartford, 29 in 1870 with wife Clara & kids, he is a mariner
  • Bryson, 36, in 1870 with wife and kids, he is fisherman

1860 census: 1860 > MAINE > HANCOCK > TRENTON

John C, 52 born Maine, with wife Jane. Living with them:

  • Anne and Mahala Anderson
  • David Marshall, 17 (the dude who later md Hattie who I believe is the daughter Georgianne, age 13 below)
  • Georgianne Murch, 13

Looks like a possible brother William Murch, 57, living next door with a wife and tons of kids

Also Bryson and wife and kids again, but now age 26

1850 census same place (Trenton,Hancock, Maine)

  • John C,
  • Jane, wife
  • Ann, 16 - probably the Anne Anderson in 1860 census
  • David, 6

Right next door is the Anderson family incl. a 19 yr old boy whose name I can't read - Enoch? Jonathan? He is a good candidate for Ann's future hubby...
