Paul Baur was a musketeer in the 124th Regiment; he was killed on 16.02.1918 at Cambrai.
English translation of the card text: In pious remembrance in prayer of our dear, unforgettable son and brother. O Lord, grant him eternal rest! And may perpetual light shine upon him! Paul Baur, musketeer in the active Regiment 124, 10th Company, born 11 February 1893 at Mengen. He died a hero's death for the fatherland on 16 February 1918 at Cambrai. All for Thee, most sacred Heart of Jesus. Most sacred Heart of Jesus, I trust in Thee. My Jesus, mercy. Our Father. Ave Maria. Printed by the Heinrich Lincid press, Ravensburg. These small prayer cards (Sterbebilder) were given to family and friends in the Roman Catholic tradition.
