From the funeral card

The relatives and friends of Mr. & Mrs. F. P. Blackwell are respectfully invited to attend the funeral of their small son John Posey, at the Masterson Cemetery, tomorrow, Thursday, Sept. 16, 1909, at 12 o'clock noon.

Leave residence at 8 a.m.

The father's initial "F." is as printed in the original notice; the cemetery record in Brian's note gives the parents as J.P. & E.B. Blackwell, so "F." is likely a printing error for "J.". Both readings are preserved. The card was found in Alabama. The notice gives the funeral date; the death date of September 15, 1909 comes from the cemetery record in Brian's note.

Brian found baby John buried in the Masterson Cemetery, Wolf Springs, Lawrence Co., Alabama as:

John Posey, son of J.P. & E.B. Blackwell, born 2-27-1907, died 9-15-1909.

Buried with little John was his sister Elizabeth: Elizabeth Eleander, dau of J.P. & E.B. Blackwell, born 6-24-1898, died 10-20-1899.
