Contributor's notes

Death notice memory card of Lydia A. Blesh, copyrighted 1889 by the National Memorial Company. She died on November 6, 1890 at 33 years of age. The contributor writes: "One is a cabinet photo of a young woman named Lydia A. Blesh who lived in Pennsylvania from 1857 to 1890. It was taken by a photographer named Floyd on Main Street in Lock Haven, PA. It is in good shape, but her name is written by her image and there is some pencil writing on the reverse. The second item is a death notice memory card of the same young lady copyrighted 1889 by the National Memorial Company."

The photograph shows both the cabinet photo and the memory card. Our archive's index entry for this record gives "1827-1890", which conflicts with the contributor's described lifespan of 1857 to 1890 and her stated age of 33 at death. Both readings are preserved; this record follows 1857.
