Died April 19, 1903.

Aged 57 years.

A precious one from us has gone,

A voice we loved is stilled;

A place is vacant in our home

Which never can be filled.

God, in His wisdom, has recalled

The boon His love had given,

And though the body slumbers here,

The soul is safe in Heaven.

On the back is the printers name: R.D. Jones & Co, Memorial Card Publishers, P.O. Box 144, Philidelphia, Pa.

The poem is embossed on the front of the card, beneath the main inscription. The deceased is identified only as Mrs. John Christ — her own given name does not appear. April 19, 1903 is the date printed on the card. (Corrected from an earlier transcription that had given April 13, 1892 / age 87.)
