Andreas Buchberger from Sorsbach, Bavaria. Soldier in 12. Bavarian Inf. Div., 26. Inf. Reg., 10. Komp. Died 28. October 1916 from a gunshot to the head in a casualty clearing station in Kronstadt, Romania.
English translation of the card text: A pious remembrance in prayer for the honourable Mr. Andreas Dachsberger, cottager in Sorsbach, parish of Pleiskirchen, soldier in the 12th Bavarian Infantry Division, Infantry Regiment No. 26, 10th Company, who was wounded by a shot to the head on 28 October 1916 and on 13 November 1916, in the military hospital at Kronstadt, died a hero's death for the fatherland at the age of 36. My Jesus, mercy! (100 days' indulgence.) These small prayer cards (Sterbebilder) were given to family and friends in the Roman Catholic tradition.
