Brian's research

Brian found Annie in the Highland Cemetery, New Castle, Garfield County, Colorado, along with several other Schmueser family members. Annie's record reads: "SCHMUESER, Annie A. Lot S 1/2 234, d 1902, grave has marker."

The 1900 census of East New Castle, Garfield County, Colorado lists Annie with her parents, Charles and Martha Schmueser (both born in Ohio). Annie was born March 1882 in Ohio.

The 1880 census of Adams, Muskingum, Ohio enumerates the household of Elizabeth Schmueser (62, born Alsace, keeping house):

  • Elizabeth Schmueser (self, 62, born Alsace, keeping house)
  • Charles Schmueser (son, 28, farmer, born Ohio)
  • Martha Schmueser (daughter-in-law, 28, born Ohio)
  • Jesse Schmueser (grandson, 3, born Ohio)
