In Affectionate Remembrance of
THOMAS THAIN.
THE BELOVED SON OF JOHN AND MARY THAIN,
Who died at Waterside House, on May 11th, 1875,
Aged 3 Years and 10 Months.
Cold in his little bed of clay,
Our darling child, our joy and care,
Now lies to moulder and decay—
His loss we mourn in deep despair.
His heart will pain and throb no more,
He's now a little angel blest;
On yonder bright and happy shore
He lies within the Saviour's breast.
We should not grieve but be content,
Since God has taken him away;
He was not given, but only lent
A little while with us to stay.
Then let us hope when life is past,
And God's last trumpet sound is given,
That we'll be ready at the last
To meet our darling boy in heaven.

In affectionate remembrance of Thomas Thain. Thomas was the son of John and Mary Thain and died aged 3 years 10 months at Waterside House May 11, 1875.
