English translation of the card text: In prayerful remembrance of the virtuous youth Karl Vogl, son of a master blacksmith from Schönau, infantryman in the 11th Infantry Regiment, 4th Company, who fell on 5 August 1916 near Verdun as the result of a shell hit, in the 21st year of his life.
