Portsmouth, in New England, Aug. 30.

LAST Monday Morning the Indians surprized one Aaron Rawlings, and his Family, at Lamperele River, killed and carry'd them all away, being six in Number. About the same time, they kill'd one Joseph Hain of Quochecha, and two of his Daughters, and took another, but she made her Escape from them. Likewise about the same time eight Men arm'd at Barwick fell into an Ambush of Indians, who shot one Man dead upon the Spot, and wounded another. Yesterday Morning 10 Indians were discover'd at Lamperele River, as they were crawling to waylay the Road, but being discover'd, and an Alarm made, they went off openly.
