Death of Capt. Hull.
[The following letter has been handed to us for publication, from a belief that its relation of the death of Capt. Hull (son of Gen. Hull, of Newton) has not before been published in any of our papers. N. Y. Gaz.
Chillicothe, Oct. 7, 1814.
SIR—Having been informed, since I was brought to this place, that you are a relative of the late Capt. Hull, who fell on the evening of the 25th of July last, at the battle of Lundy's Lane, and that you now re[main in] anxious suspense to know whether he fell in the field, or was made a prisoner—I was in the action, and purely to relieve the anxieties of yourself and the other relatives of that gallant officer, take the liberty to inform you, that early in the morning after the battle, the body of an officer, lying on the field of action, was shown to me, which I was told was the body of Captain Abraham F. Hull, and [...]
