LANDIS -- Mary Etta Robinson daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Robinson, was born Sept. 4, 1859 died Feb. 16, 1916 aged 56 yrs. 5 mos and 12 days He was united in marriage to Joseph M. Landis, Nov. 17 1878. To this union were born 3 children -- one son and two daughters. The two daughters and the husband preceded her to the eternal world. She leaves one son, one granddaughter and one sister to mourn the loss of one who was near and dear to them by the ties of nature, which we hope is her eternal gain. At the age of 15 she united with the church of her choice, the Old German Baptist and remained a consistent member until claimed by death. Sister Mary had a stroke of paralysis Feb. 10 at 6:30 p.m. and never spoke. She was taken by her son to North Manchester, Ind. on Tuesday following, and on Wednesday at 6 o'clock in the morning she had a second stroke which paralyzed the other side and at 4 p.m. she died. "In such as hour as we think not, the Son of Man cometh." How necessary it is to be ready when the summons comes. There is no chance to prepare after death, For today is the day of salvation. We know not what a day may bring forth. Funeral by the Brethren at the North Manchester to and large and attentive audience. Text St. John 11:25
