MRS. P. McGEE
Solemn Requiem Mass was offered by Rev. W. P. McGee, C.S.B., on Wednesday, May 9th, at St. Patrick's Church, Biddulph, where funeral services were held for his mother, Mrs. Mary Anne McGee, widow of the late Patrick McGee.
Rev. T. A. MacDonald, C.S.B., St. Michael's College, Toronto, assisted as deacon and Rev. J. F. Murphy, Assumption College, Windsor, as sub-deacon.
The funeral sermon was preached by Rev. W. J. Duggan, C.S.B., Superior of Aquinas Institute, Rochester, N.Y. Assisting in the sanctuary were Rev. D. L. Dillon, C.S.B., St. Basil's Seminary, Toronto; Rev. Father Fogarty, P.P., Mt. Carmel; Rev. Father Haller, P.P., St. Joseph's Church, Kitchener; Rev. Father Scalisi, acting-pastor, Biddulph.
Mrs. McGee, the daughter of Philip and Bridget Kehoe, was born in Usborne Township 90 years ago. She was an active members of St. Patrick's parish until the death of her husband five years ago. Since that time she resided with her son Philip in Kitchener. The great number of spiritual and floral offerings gave testimony to the high esteem in which she was held in both communities.
The surviving members of her family are three sons: Rev. W. P. McGee, C.S.B., Rochester, N.Y.; Philip in Kitchener, Patrick in London and two grandsons, Joseph and Francis.
The funeral was largely attended by her many friends in Biddulph. Among those who attended from a distance were: Michael McGee, Detroit; Mr. and Mrs. William McGee, Detroit; Mr. and Mrs. Alphonse Cox, Detroit; Mrs. Nora L'Eveque, Windsor; Mrs. Margaret Murray, Guelph; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Spoffard, Toronto; Miss Lizzie Kensela and James Kensela, Toronto; Miss Kathleen Pyne, St. Marys; Mr. Alex Sparling, St. Marys; Mr. and Mrs. Lincoln White, St. Marys; Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred Wilson, St. Marys; Miss Blanche Tobin, St. Marys; Mr. Ray Bondy, St. Marys; Mr. William Hausmann, Kitchener; Mr. John Braniff, Kitchener; Mr. Patrick Lamphier, Toronto.
Burial took place in St. Patrick's Cemetery where final prayers were recited by Father McGee and Father MacDonald. The pall-bearers were Messrs. David Pyne, James Pyne, Joseph Whelihan, Thomas Lamphier, Jerry Whelihan and John Whelihan.
