About the plates

Coffin plates for a pair of siblings who died on the same day, 4 May 1875. The two embossed plates, each measuring 4" × 5¼", were photographed together with a post-mortem cabinet card of a boy. The card is by Kinder Bros of Akron, Indiana, and the archive's original description notes: "These came together so I'm assuming this to be Willie DeWitt."
