The mourning card

From the funeral card

In memory of

Kezia,

The beloved wife of James Bell Creasy, and daughter of Thomas and Kezia Gore,

Who died at Kew, November 22nd, 1868. Aged 39 years.

Interred at Kew Cemetery.

'It is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment,'

Heb. ix. Verse 27.

Great God, what do I see and hear, the end of things created,

The Judge of all men doth appear, on clouds of Glory seated;

The trumpet sounds, the graves restore the dead which they contained before,

Prepare my soul to meet him.

In life respected, in death lamented.

Re-transcribed directly from the card photograph (legacy OCR had misread "Kew Cemetery" as "New Cemetery" and lacked the full death date). Her maiden name was Gore. The birth year 1829 remains calculated from the 39-years age at death; no birth month/day is given on the card.
