The mourning card

From the funeral card

If love and care could death prevent, [illegible — remainder of the italic verse, two four-line stanzas, is not fully legible in this scan]

IN AFFECTIONATE REMEMBRANCE OF

SARAH ANN,

The beloved Wife of Thomas Harrison,

Who passed away August 10th, 1900,

Aged 28 Years.

ALSO OF

JAMES,

The beloved Son of the above,

Who passed away June 3rd, 190[?],

Aged [?] Years & [?] Months.

One card commemorating two deaths: Sarah Ann Harrison, who died August 10, 1900, and her son James, who died June 3 in a later year — this is not a joint death, contrary to the record's prior transcription. The card's final digit of James's death year and both numerals of his age are not legible at this scan's resolution; a higher-resolution photograph would be needed to confirm them. The italic verse at left is likewise mostly illegible at this resolution. The card was found in Liverpool, England.
