The card was found in Spokane, Washington, together with a cabinet photograph. The back of the cabinet photo has written in pencil, "FRANK 2 MONTHS BEFORE HE DIED." The front of the photograph carries the photographer's imprint: "MARTIN, W. MARKET ST 216 BET. 2D & 3D, LOUISVILLE, KY." Our archive's index entry for this record gives his years as 1881–1896.
