About this card

The contributor writes: "From the 1800's... Both images are identified as: 'Gussie Codier O'Neill.' A Fabulous set of a Cabinet card & boudoir size image. The cabinet card is of a short hair lady wearing a self-patterned gown with a draped bustle. A cameo brooch is pinned at her throat. In her hands she is holding a cabinet card photo. Next to her is a table with either a photo album or a book. The boudoir size card is of a lavish funeral flower arrangement complete with a dove in flight and a small bible under it. In the center of this arrangement is the same cabinet photo (Gussie O'Neill)." The contributor writes: "The photographer of the cabinet card is 'Holton' of Boston. Someone wrote in black period ink on the back of the cabinet card: From Gussie To Mary. Then someone else came along and wrote the full name in ball point pen. Along the top of the flower arrangement her full name is written in pencil as well. Both were together in a photo album."

A memorial photograph set (cabinet card and boudoir-size funeral flower arrangement) rather than a printed card; no dates are recorded beyond "From the 1800's." The photograph that originally accompanied this record is no longer held in the archive.
