The memorial card

From the funeral card

The contributor writes: "This photo on heavy card stock and the Remembrance card for Earle Peel were in an old photo album that I purchased. At the bottom of the photo is written Cadman's Rogers, Ark. (Arkansas). The Remembrance Memoriam card is black with gold lettering and gilt edges. This young man died March 9, 1890 at the age of 13 years."

The card's own printed text was not transcribed on the original page; the contributor's description is preserved above. The Arkansas connection comes from the photographer's inscription on the companion photograph.
