OBITUARY: MARY LEDOSKA (LAWS) DICKSON, Williamsburg, KS.

Rosemont Methodist church was filled with friends Tuesday for the funeral of Mrs. Mary L. Dickson, 78, widow of Hugh Walter Dickson, of six miles northwest of Williamsburg. Rev. Eugene Malcom of Ottawa Grace Episcopal church officiated. Pallbearers were John Trabert, John Van Valkenberg, George Norton, Verl Camp, Frank Slater, and Irwin Hackett. Mrs. Frank Abernathy and Mrs. Fred Kaiser accompanied by Mrs. Jack Corlis sang "Old Rugged Cross" and "Beautiful Isle". Mrs. Dickson died April 10, 1948, at Ransom Memorial hospital. Those present from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. Walter B. Dickson and Mrs. Jean Dickman of Merriam, KS. and Mrs. Andrew DeYoung, Kansas City. Interment was in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Williamsburg.

Transcribed as submitted. The source newspaper is not named — likely a Franklin County, Kansas paper given the Williamsburg/Rosemont/Ottawa localities, but that is not stated. Her mother, Mary Ann "Polly" (Lowe) Laws, who died at Mrs. Dickson's Rosemont home in 1897, is preserved as a separate record in this archive; her husband Hugh Walter Dickson also has his own record.
