Her birth year is recorded as 1866 from our archive's index entry for this record ('Effie J. Shonyo 1866~1899'). Our original posting also displayed a second image: a black Victorian memorial card for Willie E. Adams — a different individual, presumably related through her husband David Adams — with a barely legible date line reading approximately 'Died April 2[?], 188[?], aged [?] months, 10 days'; it likely belongs with a separate funeral card and has not been attached to this record.

The mourning print, as described in our original posting

Victorian era mourning print with information about the deceased including her photograph. A mourning poem is near the bottom. Print has death/funeral related imagery... scrolls, flowers, crosses, anchors, and a dove. The photograph is accented by a 'frame' of printed flowers. The print was made by The Agents Supply Com. Warren, Ohio. The photo, poem, and death information are inserted into cutouts made for those purposes.
