Mrs. Jerome Tressler
Mrs. Jerome Tressler died Monday at her home, Waynesboro, [Brian's note: Ohio?] after a lingering illness, aged 59 years, 11 months, 10 days. Tuesday, 11 years ago, her first husband, Claggett Kohler died. He was buried May 30th. On the same day, Mrs. Tressler will be buried. Mrs. Tressler was a daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Lewis Wertenbaker and was born near Sabillasville where she spent her girlhood. When she was grown to womanhood she was married to Mr. Kohler, son of John Kohler, Blue Ridge Summit. Some time later the young couple moved to Castine, O. [sic] where they resided four years. They then returned to Blue Ridge Summit where a number of years after, Mr. Kohler died.
Several years elapsed, after which, Oct. 17, 1877, Mrs. Kohler married Jerome Tressler near Sabillasville, who also had a number of children. They lived at the latter place five years and then moved to Frederick County, living there til seven years ago when they moved to Waynesboro.
