Roughly 280 funeral entries transcribed verbatim from Rev. Stephen Case's personal record, 1846–1874. The biographical preamble about Rev. Case is provenance and is preserved in the source note, not as a person. One non-death entry (the Aug. 3, 1855 dedication of the Mt. Salem Meeting House) is recorded here in this note but omitted from the person index, since it names no individual. Several dates and names carry OCR uncertainty, marked with [?]/[bracketed letters]; a few source years appear out of chronological sequence (e.g. 'Nov.4, 1865 Phoebe Wickham', 'Oct. 6. 1836', 'May 14, 1882', 'May 19, 1889', 'July 25, 1886', 'Apr. 5, 1866') and are transcribed as written, not corrected.
