This death record is on the copy will and original probate on vellum of John Hearne of Strand on the Green in the parish of Chiswick, Middlesex.

It is dated 26th August 1739 and gives directions as to how the rents etc. of his property should be dealt with after his death — involving his wife, his children Diana and Anne Maria — and appointing as his executors James Attfield and his brother Thomas Hearne.

Probate was granted on 20th January 1741 by the office of the Archbishop of Canterbury whose paper seal is still with the document.
