Peter Rutherford — family connection uncertain
I have not yet found out how the coffin plate of Peter Rutherford fits in to this family. From his date of birth 1841 he could be a son of James Rutherford that was no longer living at home in 1881. I did find his death certificate but it states that he was born in Ottawa Canada and this is a problem for him being a son of James.
Peter Rutherford, Kent County, Ontario, City of Chatham. Age 60 yrs, died 23 Nov 1901, living King St, City, law clerk, single, born Ottawa, died of Dropsy.
Death certificate — Daniel Rutherford
Daniel Rutherford, Carleton 17th Jan 1926, age 81, born Scotland, 70 years in Canada. Father: James; Mother: Elizabeth Cameron. Son James of Ormond was the informant; buried in Ormond Cemetery.
