Alva Ross Ault

Alva Ross Ault, only son of Frederick and Susan Ault, was born near Twelve Mile, Ind., October 27, 1885, and died in Macy, Ind., Nov. 30, 1913, aged twenty-eight years, one month and three days. When he was two years old his father was called by death and Alva was left to fight the battle of life in a broken home. His kindness and generosity won for him many friends, and they were only numbered by his acquaintances. He was a favorite with all he met and his home ties were especially near to his mother and sisters who so nobly cared for him during his long illness.

He had suffered almost a year from tuberculosis of the bone, having been confined to his bed for the past seventeen weeks. Deceased leaves a mother and four sisters besides a host of relatives and friends to mourn their loss.

Funeral services were held Wednesday at 1 o'clock from the residence in Macy with the Christian pastor in charge, of which church he has been a member for several years. Burial in the Macy cemetery.

Transcribed as submitted. His mother, Susan (Cox) Ault, and the obituary of Susan Ault (died 1927) preserved in the same Fisher family bible is a separate record in this archive.
